Cool Earth Solar Completes SunPower® Helix™ Carport System
196 Kilowatt SunPower System Expected to Save 580 Executive Center $2.7 Million in Electric Bills Over 25 Years
PLEASANTON, Calif. November 1, 2017 – Cool Earth Solar, a SunPower Commercial Dealer, has completed a 196-kilowatt (KW) high efficiency solar power system at 580 Executive Center in Dublin, Calif. The fully-integrated SunPower Helix Carport will provide energy to 580 Executive Center, which is a co-working space that features executive suites and virtual offices for business professionals in the area. The project also included LEDs attached to the carport to provide superior lighting in the parking lot. This project was the first SunPower® Helix™ Carport System to be installed by a SunPower dealer.
“The 580 Executive Center was a perfect candidate for solar” said Rob Lamkin, Cool Earth Solar’s CEO. “Their large parking lot, high energy consumption, and ability to take advantage of the solar tax credit will enable them to reduce their electricity bill and thus free up capital for their business.” The solar system, that will pay for itself in under 5 years, will save the company over $2.7 million over the life of the system.
