Cool Earth Solar

Manufacturing Engineers

We're looking for experienced manufacturing engineers to lead subsystem development from concept through pilot production. As one of these engineers, you would work closely with our design engineers to optimize the manufacturability of our systems with an eye to performance and cost reduction. Your responsibilities would include identifying the best manufacturing processes for our plastic, metal, and sheet-metal components and ensuring that each design is optimized for the chosen process. In addition, you would work closely with vendors and manufacturing facilities.

Applicants should have 10 or more years of relevant high-volume manufacturing experience as well as general expertise with low-cost, high-volume manufacturing and familiarity with high-volume manufacturing techniques (molding, forging, powdered metal, etc.). Expertise in SolidWorks® design tools is required. Hands-on experience with a proven record of bringing designs to production is a must.

Finally, we want manufacturing engineers who are comfortable leading small but strong technical teams and who have a philosophical commitment to pioneering economical renewable energy.
